Vale Musical Society is absolutely thrilled that local resident and West-End star, Gary Wilmot MBE, is our Honorary Patron.

Gary has been well known to the British public for over forty years as a singer, actor, comedian, writer and television presenter. He is a regular on stage in the West-End appearing in shows such as “Me and My Girl”, “Chitty, Chitty, Bang, Bang”, “Half a Sixpence”, “The Wind in the Willows” and “The Prince of Egypt”.

Gary has recently been nominated for an a 2022 Olivier award for his highly acclaimed performance, as Elisha Whitney, in “Anything Goes” at the London Barbican Centre. “Pantoland at the Palladium”, in which Gary also starred, is nominated for the best entertainment award.

Gary can currently be seen in the role of The Wizard in “Wicked” at the Apollo Victoria Theatre.

We are delighted that Gary is part of VMS.
